IT Support Engineer (SAT)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer with strong expertise in System Administration and hands-on experience in Radio Frequency (RF) Communication. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our enterprise customers, troubleshooting complex issues, and serving as a subject matter expert for Vehere Security solutions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Analyse and monitor captured network traffic data.
  • Respond to customer issues via email, ticketing systems, phone, or remote sessions.
  • Assist customers with installation, configuration, integration, and tuning of RF equipment with the Antenna in their environment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and provide detailed and clear resolution paths.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation, solution articles, and internal knowledge base content.
  • Responsible for handling all system hardware issues by logging service calls and ensuring case closure upon work completion.
  • Worked closely with the Law Enforcement Department, strictly adhering to their rules and regulations, including the restriction on using smart devices with cameras.
  • Adhere to high-quality work standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of Vehere’s information assets including business critical information.
Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication / Telecommunication / Microwave engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Technical Support, SOC, or Network Engineering role or RF Communication.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix command line environments.
  • Hands-on experience with server hardware, including component disassembly, rack mounting, disk partition creation, operating system installation and configuration, as well as proficient usage of iDRAC as per requirements.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including LAN, VLAN and WAN connectivity.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, etc.) and the OSI model.
  • Experience with manageable switches and configuration of Cisco routers and switches using CLI
  • Excellent troubleshooting, logical, communication, and customer-facing skills.
    RF Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of GSM, UMTS, Satellite, and LTE domains.
  • Functional understanding of RF transmitters and receivers.
  • Familiarity with RF subsystems such as Antenna Theory, BDC, and LNA.
  • Experience in testing and troubleshooting RF hardware.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as the Spectrum Analyser and Vector Network. An analyser (VNA) and an Oscilloscope for signal analysis.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong expertise in Linux command-line interface.
  • Strong knowledge of Analog and Digital Signals. Understanding GSM communication.
  • Good Understanding of Networking (Switching and Routing).
